🌊Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula early Wednesday, an 8.7-magnitude temblor/ earthquake that caused a tsunami in the northern Pacific region and prompted warnings for Alaska, Japan and other coasts south toward New Zealand. The first tsunami waves were expected to reach Taiwan coastal areas at 13:18 p.m. local time, the Taiwan Seismological Center said.
